In April of this year I had an experience in the Holy Spirit I'd like to share with you. This experience serves as an indicator of what I believe the Lord is calling each of us too who are born of the Spirit and able to hear His voice. There is a graduation and an advancement upon us for the taking. One morning early in April I got up as I usually do to go to the Lord in prayer, meditation and waiting in His presence. As I sat down in my chair immediately I went into a prolific vision. Sitting perched in front of me was a very large Owl that was looking intently into my eyes. He was burnt orange in color with variations of white, brown and black on his breast, wings and tail. He looked at me as if he were probing the deepest parts of me even into the core of my being. He was very large in nature and it seemed there was somewhat of an exchange without words going on between us. I noticed on top of his head he was wearing a graduation cap with the tassel hanging down off the left side of his head. Written in bold type suspended over him on top the graduation cap was the mathematical equation E=MC2.
As most of you know, this is Einstein's "THEORY OF RELATIVITY" that literally changed the way scientists look at and understand Physics around the world. I was quite puzzled yet very engaged in this vivid experience. Shortly after the vision ended, and I spent a good part of the rest of the day asking the Lord to give me revelation on it. Some of the symbolism was clear to me, some was not, however I was confident the Lord would fill me in on all the details. In the evening about 11 P.M. as I was making my way back to my chair to sit before the Lord, I said "Lord You gotta help me out a little with this vision You gave me I'm a little stumped". As my back came to rest in the chair immediately outside the window next to my head an Owl began to hooting. He was hooting and clucking so loudly it drew Jan in from the other room to find out what was goin on. For the next half hour this Owl sang us his song in the night and gave us no rest.
I said, "O.K. Lord You've really got my attention now whats this all about"? I was chomping at the bit to find out why He would answer me with such a strong physical sign. Something was up. I knew we were getting ready to embark on a journey where we had never gone before, and that powerful dimensions of light were now coming from the very presence of God to unlock and reveal a bit more of the heritage of the saints of God. The spiritual tumblers were now clicking in the Doors of Destiny and what was to come out from behind this great Door were the very things we've been pressing, praying, living, breathing, preaching, teaching and shaking all of Heaven for. We had previously prearranged to spend some time with Bob Jones at his home in North Carolina and when we got there I shared this vision with him. At first Bob didn't say anything but he rather just kind of looked at me like I had egg all over my face, and then turned to me with that O BOY YOUR IN FOR IT NOW grin and said "Yep"!!! I waited for a little bit more to come and finally he told us that much had been coming forth lately about the mind of Christ(1 Cor 1:16) and the need for the body of Christ to get ahold of strong spiritual meet.
Strong solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose "senses" (all 5 senses) and "mental facilities" have been "trained"by "practice" to distinguish between good, noble and evil (Heb 5:14). Bob said E=MC2 is the unsearchable mind of Christ!, and that the Lord was graduating not only you, but others like you into new levels of understanding by the "Spirit of wisdom and revelation" in the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:17 / Daniel 1:17) so we to can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength. When we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are "ripe" in understanding), we impart a higher wisdom. But not the wisdom of this present age, but rather a wisdom of God once hidden (from human understanding), now revealed to us by God to lift us into the glory of His presence!(1 Cor 2:6-7). The Holy Spirit searches examines and explores the profound and bottomless "Deep things of God"(1 Cor 2:10). God has put the deep and unquenchable desire to know the deep hidden things of His nature in the very heart of man, only to give answer to it in full expression by demonstrations of His power and revelation by His precious Holy Spirit... (jansen) Bob thought the Owl was an "Eagle Owl". The Eagle Owl never stops hunting, and is always alert.
Bob said even as you sleep your spirit will be well aware of everything going on around you in the natural as well as the spirit. The predominant thing that the Lord wanted me to understand is that we are on a journey of transformation. We have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the glorious "Kingdom of Light". Now we have not received the spirit that belongs to the world, but the Holy Spirit Who is from God (1 Cor 2:12). The owl represents the "Spirit of Wisdom". He reveals the deep and secret things, and He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him!(Daniel2:22). The owl is known for how well it see's in the dark. Because of the shape and thickness of the lens on the owls eye, it is able to see things very clearly in the dark by absorbing whatever little light is around it to see! Just as Einstein was compelled to know and understand things as it related to the natural world of Physics, so God has placed the desire in the heart of His people to know and understand that which is unsearchable, to move in the humanly impossible, and to know His great love for us by the unrobing of Himself and of His own nature to us, causing us to see Him as He is by His precious Holy Spirit, and helping us to attain the "Spirit of Wisdom" and "Understanding", so as to more fully be acquainted with "The very Mind of Christ
